Asos Haul | Huge Summer Fashion Haul

When I say huge summer Asos haul, I really mean huge! Lockdown seems to have levelled up my online shopping hobby to competitive level! In my latest asos haul I probably spent about £400 – shocking right? I just can’t seem to stop myself! I pretty much got a full summer wardrobe in this haul. I’ve really gotten into playsuits and jumpsuits so they feature pretty heavily. As a mum, dresses just aren’t always practical because when you’re running round after a two year old, building dens, doing jigsaws and changing nappies, you can’t always protect your modesty with a dress! The american’s call playsuits ‘rompers’ for a reason! I…

Chi Chi London SS20 Edit | My Favourite Pieces

This post contains gifted products from Chi Chi London. Chi Chi London is one of my favourite brands for gorgeous dresses but I only discovered recently that they do gorgeous shoes and bags too! Their spring collection is full of head to toe occassion outfits that are perfect for weddings. But as we’re stuck in lockdown, dressing up at home for a date night will do! Chi Chi have a tall, petite and curve collection alongside their main range so they cater for all shapes and sizes. They have a full range of clothing too. It isn’t just dresses – they even have a swimwear range! Chi Chi London x…

    Spring H&M Fashion Haul | SS20 Trends

Even though the weather hasn’t caught on yet, the shops are full of spring fashion. I’m so ready for a style refresh and when I saw the SS20 H&M collection I couldn’t help myself! I filmed a fashion haul over on YouTube that you can watch below or keep reading to see what I picked up! You can shop everything that I picked up in the widget below but some of the highlights are: Houndstooth/Dogtooth: Whatever you want to call it, this print is big for spring. I picked up a gorgeous jumper in nude houndstooth which is a great transitional style piece for SS20, because, let’s face it, the…

Testing Cheap Lace Front Wigs from Amazon!

Cheap lace front wigs from Amazon? They’re going to be rubbish, right? Right?! WELL… read on my friend! My hair just isn’t where I want it to be at the minute, I fancied a change but it’s hard to decide what to go for and be brave enough to go for a bright colour. I’ve been watching a lot of Ru Paul’s Drag Race recently and they wear amazing lace front wigs and I watched a few YouTube videos from vloggers who’ve tried these Amazon wigs before and they looked fab so I thought I’d try it myself. I will say that I was sceptical because fashion & beauty bloggers…

    Another H&M Baby Clothes Haul!

Because I’ve had to replace nearly all of Theo’s baby clothes I placed a massive H&M order and have made another haul video. I really find H&M online so much better than in store for baby clothes. I went to the Trafford Centre branch the other day and they only had one of the styles I’d ordered! The baby section is tiny and full of basics, the toddler section is a bit better but the best styles were still missing. It was all more of what I call “traditional” baby clothes rather than the more modern styles that they have online. I was also a bit annoyed that you can’t…

Baby Clothes Haul H&M Kids – June 2018

I bit the bullet, jumped on the bandwagon and a bunch of other metaphors and made a Youtube video! I did a baby clothes haul because Theo is a little whopper and has outgrown all his stuff and I really love the H&M kids collection at the minute. I tend to shy away from traditional, cutesy, pale blue baby clothes and prefer monochromes and geometric prints and H&M is really good for that. I can’t believe how quickly he is growing, he’s already in 6-9 month vests and sleepsuits and he’s only a few days shy of 3 months! I don’t think I’ll be able to carry him around in…

    My Breastfeeding Capsule Wardrobe

Something I hadn’t even considered before having the baby was that postpartum I wouldn’t be the same size as I was pre-pregnancy and that I’d need easy, frequent access to my boobs! Breastfeeding is pretty intense anyway without one handedly struggling with your clothes to allow a small human access to your nipple without making you both super uncomfortable and getting completely soaked! In the last few weeks I’ve had a pretty constant stream of parcels coming (and often going back) as I’ve tried to get the hang of what to wear for convenience whilst also not feeling like a frumpy mess and I think I’ve finally cracked it so…

Back to Basics: Free Baseball Top Sewing Pattern

Who doesn’t love a basic top? My two favourite staple t-shirts by far are the classic baseball top and a boat neck striped tee. They can pretty much be worn with anything and, as the dress code in my office is smart casual, are great for work or for play. Strangely, despite their iconic status, it can be hard to find the perfect version of either which leaves me frustrated. There are plenty of striped tops with round or scoop necks but not my coveted boat neck, the base colour is cream and not white, it’s skin tight instead of slouchy, it has embroidered logos or embellishment… the list goes…

DIY Christmas Jumper with Felt Pug Motif

You know I love a crafty competition and when I was invited to take part in the Turtle Mat Thrifty Christmas Jumper Challenge I knew it was right up my street, they sent me a lovely cream jumper and gave me £5 to spend on making it into a Christmas special! As it happens, it’s Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day tomorrow so I’m just in time! I wanted to make something a bit out of the ordinary rather than stick to a traditional theme plus I love Pugs (and hope that Andrea wins the X Factor this weekend) so decided to combine the two! Here’s the tutorial for making…

DIY Backpack Pattern in Pretty Girls Sew Magazine

A little while ago I was asked by the lovely Tabitha from Pretty Girls Sew to contribute to the first edition of their digital magazine which I was very excited about! Pretty Girls Sew is a fab sewing blog founded by Yetunde, Crystal, Tabitha, Jenell and Miesha and is a great place for sharing your sewn creations with other sewing enthusiasts plus getting inspiration for new creations. I was really honoured to be asked to contribute, the Pretty Girls Sew magazine is now available to read digitally and it’s so good, I can’t wait to read the next edition! As I’ve been lusting after a smart rucksack for a while…
