Testing Testing 123: Do Crafts Carnival Alphabet Stamps

I’m in the process of making something cute but until I get it finished I thought I’d write a little post about how much I LOVE these stamps from Do Crafts! They’re called Carnival Alphabet stamps and have that amazing old school circus vibe about them which adds something special to even the most mundane of messages.

The multi-coloured packaging drew me like a moth to a flame and as soon as they arrived I wanted to try them immediately. In the middle of my other little make. my boyfriend asked me to knock up a birthday card for his dad’s birthday. I used green, blue and purple craft ink pads and stamped the word ‘Dad’ diagonally across the centre of a blank white card and added some flourishes to two of the opposite corners in black. I stamped a sentiment onto the centre of the card and a ‘handstamped’ message at the back and it was finished! Quick but effective!

The only odd thing about these stamps is that they come in two parts, you have to buy A-M and N-Z seperately which I don’t really get. In the instance above the first set was enough but more often than not you’ll need letters from each half of the alphabet so I don’t really see why it makes sense to sell them seperately rather than charge a  bit more for the full set. Anyhoo, the stamps are £8.95 per pack and are available from the Do Crafts website. Number stamps are available in the same font and matching die sets are also available (although are pricier at £19.95 per pack).

I have plenty of ideas for these stamps so more projects will be coming very soon!
