scissorsandthread: Sheer Gathered High-Low Skirt | Prudent Baby I know it doesn’t look it, but this is a very easy sewing project to do! The combo of sheer fabric and elasticised waist also means it’s going to be comfy and cool to wear in Summer. Oh yes, plus I love the way this is styled with the gingham shirt, so cute! Love this – probably won’t bother with the dip hem as I think perhaps that trend has had its day but sheer skirts are so feminine and summery. It looks so good with the gingham shirt too. This is definitely one for my ‘Things to Make’ list.
I finally got round to making this after seeing the post I reblogged earlier this year. It’s quite a quick one and is good for using leftover wool. I had some fine wool in a drawer and knitted it 3 strands thick on size 7 needles (the original pattern recommends size 8 but as the wool was so thin I went a size down). I love it and am definitely going to make it in other colours. It’s quite hippy chic but is pretty practical too as it keeps the ears warm. First on the list of things to pack for Glastonbury this year! 🙂
