    Christmas Craft Events Calendar 2014

Recently I was asked to contribute to a calendar of Christmas craft events for Chums.co.uk. I love Christmas, who doesn’t right? But not just for the presents and family time, it’s also an amazing time for anyone crafty. From decorations to homemade gifts, there’s so much to go at from a creative perspective. Whether you want to be inspired or buy some crafting essentials, you’ll find the perfect events for you on the Chums Christmas Craft Calendar. You can download a PDF of the calendar to print here: Chums Christmas Calender(1) If you know of any other awesome Christmas events please leave a comment 🙂

    The Handmade Fair 2014

Recently I was invited to attend The Handmade Fair that’s going to be taking place in Hampton Court on 19th – 21st September 2014 but unfortunately I’ll be sunning myself in Spain so won’t be able to go. It sounds like alot of fun though so I wanted to tell you all about it in case you can make it. The Handmade Fair brings together crafters from all over the UK alongside celeb DIYer Kirsty Allsopp to create an event for anyone who loves to craft. There are lots of things going on during the day including skill workshops, a “Super Theatre” with talks from craft icons life Cath Kidston…

Five Craft Room Essentials You Might Not Expect

This weekend I’ve spent some time sorting out the various piles that had accumulated in my little craft room and  now that it’s a bit clearer, I realised that some of the things that I use all the time aren’t necessarily the most orthodox crafting tools so I thought I’d share them with you to see if I’m not alone in turning every day bits and pieces into must have DIY essentials. Craft Room Essential #1: Baby Wipes Being honest, these aren’t just a craft essential – despite being designed for the delicate skin of babies, these suckers will remove almost anything thrown in their path! Whether it’s cleaning the…

Free Printables: Mottos To Live By

I’m a total geek. I’m not just a geek, I’m a web geek. I’m not ashamed, I love the internet, so much so that it’s what I do for a living – retail eCommerce. Last week I was lucky enough to attend a talk by Martijn Bertisen from Google who vocalised one of the most sensible things that I have ever heard – “data beats opinion”. Basically, if there’s more than one point of view on how something can be done, test it and find out which is best. In the world of online this is particularly pertinent as everything is measurable – it’s why I love what I do.…

    Happy New Year!

I hope that this year is full of fun, luck and plenty of crafting for everyone! This year I’m not making resolutions that I won’t keep (lose weight, do more exercise etc). Instead I’m making a To Do List so that this time next year I can see everything I’ve achieved in 2014. I’m always onto the next thing and when I look back find it difficult to remember what I’ve done. Building up the blog features heavily in the list! Have you made any resolutions or plans for the new year? x
