My Aldi Baby Event Haul

I’ve being trying to get out of the house to the Aldi Baby Event for the last couple of days but between trying to sleep train Theo and getting trapped in my house by a dangerous tree (true story) I didn’t manage it as soon as I would have liked. So today, after Theo’s morning nap we headed out to investigate and nab ourselves some bargains!

Our local Aldi isn’t huge so I wasn’t expecting the baby event to be massive but I was pleasantly surprised, there was loads and loads of great stuff! I managed to contain myself and not go wild buying a lot of things we don’t need but I am thinking that perhaps I was a bit too cautious so may well go back for a second round!

I’ve done a YouTube video of my Aldi Baby Event haul – scroll to the bottom of the page to watch it.

Here’s what I picked up:

Aldi Baby Event Haul

Bear Night Light – £6.99

I couldn’t resist this guy, his little face is so cute! We have a mountain theme in our nursery and this will fit in really nicely. Theo isn’t in his own room yet but it won’t be too long now (weep) so I need to get it all finished and this is a perfect finishing touch. It’s super soft silicone so nice and safe and it’s also battery operated which is great for me because we only have one plug socket in the room and it’s in a really awkward place. The night light has four different colour settings too so you can change it up.

Hooded Towel & Wash Mitt – £3.49

This is really cheap for a baby towel and it’s actually nice and soft. It has the pineapple motif embroidered on it which is fun and the little wash matt is a nice addition too.

3 Pack Bodysuits – £3.99

These are 100% organic cotton and have really nice monochrome designs on them. Theo’s growing so fast that we’re really depleted on basic vests so this was a great find. There were also sleepsuits in the same pattern but unfortunately they didn’t have Theo’s size, I’m hoping they’ll be restocked when I try again in the week.

SnuffleBabe – £1.99

My friend recommended these saline drops for easing congestion when the baby has a cold. I haven’t used them so can’t say how good they are but I got some as inevitably he’s going to get a snuffly nose at some point so it’s better to have them in the house.

Bath Books – £1.49

The final thing I picked up were two of these bath books. Theo LOVES bathtime and I want to make sure it stays that way so I’m starting to look for toys to keep things fun. I remember having these when I was little and loving them. I got Hoppy Frog and Tickly Octopus, tickle games are the flavour of the month in our house so I thought that one would be a big hit!

Have you hit the Aldi Baby Event yet? What did you buy? There was so much to choose from – baby gates, toys, weaning stuff… I’m definitely regretting not getting more! If you haven’t checked it out yet head down to your local Aldi – I think the event is on until Wednesday 22nd August (my birthday!). You can also see all the stuff in the event on Aldi’s website.
